General Requirements: The preferred candidate must have an excellent understanding of the LAN/WAN technologies and stay current with them. Must have the knowledge to design, assemble, and deliver complete, cost effective technical designs for implementation that meet the Customer and Diversified Design Service’s requirements. Must be aware of, understand, and consider the inter relationships of the various engineering disciplines involved in integrated designs and their impact on the cost, performance, and scheduling elements of projects. The preferred candidate must have a BICSI RCDD certification, five years technical experience in the communications industry, and have demonstrated a willingness to keep current on technological changes by having attended five (5) or more technical courses or seminars. A college degree in an engineering discipline is desirable. Candidate must be willing to travel as required. Finally, the candidate must be a team player able to have good relationships with our internal technical staff and Vendors to stay current in technology and to use their services to assist in project designs both pre-sales and post-sales.
