Structured cabling infrastructure is made up of the horizontal distribution and backbone cabling systems that support the voice, data, video and wireless telecommunication networks in your facility.  Typical media consists of fiber optic cable, unshielded twisted pair cable, and coaxial cable.  A comprehensive structured cabling design includes not only the engineering for the structured wiring systems but also the pathways and spaces (i.e., raceways and wiring closets) necessary to deliver the cables to the outlets.
